What “Aligned Strength” Actually Means (and Who It’s For)
Pelvic Floor, Core, Breathing, Strength all in one.
If you’ve ever felt like workouts don’t land the way they’re supposed to, you’re not alone.
You might be doing all the “right” things—squats, core work, strength training—and still feel disconnected, uncomfortable, or even in pain.
This is exactly why we created Aligned Strength.
What Aligned Strength Is
Aligned Strength is a small group strength training class I run inside AlignPT, a pelvic floor physical therapy studio here in Longmont, Colorado.
That environment matters.
Because this isn’t just about getting a workout in.
It’s about building strength in a way that actually respects how your body functions.
In Aligned Strength, we focus on:
Breath-led movement (not just bracing and pushing through)
Ribcage + pelvis alignment
Core that responds, not just tightens
Strength that transfers into your real life
It’s low-impact, but it’s not easy.
You’ll lift weights.
You’ll feel your muscles working.
But more importantly—you’ll understand why something feels better, stronger, or more connected.
Who This Is For
This class tends to attract a very specific kind of person.
Women who:
Have been told they need to work out for years but don’t know where to start
Have dealt with things like back pain, hip discomfort, or core weakness
Are postpartum (recently or years later) and want to feel strong again
Have been told to “just do kegels” or “just strengthen your core” and know that’s not the full picture
Feel hypermobile, unstable, or disconnected in their movements
Have been a patient of AlignPT or seen a Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist
Want to lift weights—but in a way that actually supports their body
We slow things down just enough to rebuild how your body organizes itself under load so you generate strength from a place of support.
Why It’s Inside a Pelvic Floor PT Studio
There’s a huge gap between rehab and fitness.
A lot of women finish physical therapy and think:
“Okay… now what?”
Or they jump back into workouts and the same issues come back.
Aligned Strength lives in that middle space.
It’s where we take the principles of pelvic health, core connection, and movement quality—and actually apply them to real strength training.
Not rehab.
Not random workouts.
Integrated strength.
My Approach
I’m a personal trainer based in Longmont, Colorado and my work centers around helping women build strength without ignoring the realities of their bodies.
That includes:
Pregnancy and postpartum
Hypermobility
Chronic tension patterns
Pain that hasn’t been fully resolved like endometriosis
The mental load of trying to “do it right”
My philosophy is simple:
Your body isn’t something to fight or fix.
It’s something to understand—and then train accordingly.
That’s what we do in Aligned Strength.
What It Feels Like
Most people notice a few things quickly:
Movements feel smoother
They feel muscles working that they’ve never felt before
Pain starts to decrease or feel more manageable
Strength starts to feel more usable
And maybe most importantly:
They stop second-guessing themselves every time they work out.
If You’re Curious
If this sounds like you—or like something your body has been asking for—you can reach out.
You don’t need to be “ready.”
You don’t need to be pain-free.
You just need to be willing to approach strength a little differently.
You can reply to this article, email or message me directly with the word STRENGTH, and I’ll send you more details about current openings.
