Stanley Tumbler

There’s a reason they are all the rage. They fit in regular cup holders, they come with a straw, Stanley’s are easy to hold with the built in handle, the colors options are so cute (this black and gold one is really cute), and they will keep your beverage hot or cold for hours. Did you see it withstood a car fire!?

However, if Stanley isn’t in your price range, there are other great water bottle options! I have a Hydraflow myself, and it does the trick!

Hydration is vital during pregnancy and postpartum. The body, working tirelessly to nurture and support new life, requires proper replenishment. Water is the essential fuel for maintaining amniotic fluid, aiding digestion, supporting cellular function, blood volume, temperature regulation, and overall joint and tissue health.. Cheers to staying replenished even if you’re like me and you had an aversion to water.

Stanley Holder

Pregnant friend already have a Stanley tumbler? Get them a holder. It’ll change their life. When you’re pregnant, you may experience brain fog, making you more forgetful than usual (hormones are rough). Pregnant folks experience brain fog due to hormonal changes, increased blood volume, and shifts in nutrient absorption, impacting cognitive function during this transformative period. If you keep everything together, you’ll limit the odds of losing something! I’m obsessed with the neoprene mug holder. It is my new identity.

Cellphone, check

Wallet, check

Chapstick, check

Keys, check

What more do you need!? If you’re out and about like me, this 40oz water bottle holder is everything you’ve been missing.

Key Nutrients Electrolytes

Sticking to the hydration theme, electrolytes are LIFE. When I was pregnant I stuck with seltzer and lime since I had an aversion to water. When I was breastfeeding, especially early on, I could not drink enough water. That’s where electrolytes saved me. The second my son latched, I was so thirsty, my mouth felt like a desert. My brother bought me Key Nutrients (the Cherry-Pom flavor), and it made my days so much better!

What I love about Key Nutrient Electrolytes is that is has no sugar, no calories for that matter! It’s just vitamins and minerals!

Amazon Gift Card

I’m a gift card person. After my son was born, someone sent us a gift card to Amazon and it was so helpful! Pregnancy and the 4th trimester call for things you might not expect. Having a backup stash of cash is very easeful during an intense and tender period. A gift card lets your pregnant friend or loved one get what they want with no hesitation! Just a click of a button and a sigh of relief. You can use it for subscriptions like for prenatal vitamins or those larger sized pregnancy pants that you were hoping you didn’t need…(or was that just me?)

Vitamin E Oil

The pregnant body grows so rapidly! Stretch marks are common during pregnancy as the skin stretches to accommodate the growing baby, causing the underlying collagen and elastin fibers to undergo stress. Hormonal changes also play a role, affecting the skin's elasticity and contributing to the development of these natural, yet common, marks.

While vitamin E oil is often promoted for its potential benefits in improving skin elasticity and hydration, scientific evidence on its effectiveness for reducing or preventing stretch marks is limited. Some individuals may find that applying vitamin E oil to their skin helps with moisturization and may contribute to overall skin health.

However, it's important to note that the development of stretch marks is influenced by various factors, including genetics, skin type, and the extent of skin stretching during pregnancy. It can’t hurt and may give the pregnant friend or loved on peace of mind and some control!

Belly Casting Kit

This is a fun activity to remember pregnancy! If you are like me, being pregnant felt like forever. The end is in sight the whole time, and you never really feel close, but trust me, it’s a very short amount of time in the long run! So, commemorate it with a casting. You can do this with friends or family to make it a collaborative activity. You can keep it plain, or use a pack with decorations to tell the story of you pregnancy.

Belly casting, a beautiful way to capture the essence of pregnancy, is typically done during the third trimester when the baby bump is well-defined. This is usually around weeks 32 to 38 of pregnancy. Waiting until this stage ensures that the belly has reached a size that reflects the fullness of the pregnancy experience. It's a memorable and meaningful activity, providing a tangible keepsake of the unique journey of carrying life.

Pregnancy Journal

Journaling is a powerful tool for self-reflection and personal growth, offering a space to express thoughts, emotions, and experiences. In the context of pregnancy, journaling becomes a therapeutic outlet, allowing expectant individuals to navigate the complex and transformative journey. It provides a means to record the joys, challenges, and profound moments of anticipation, fostering a deeper connection with the evolving sense of self and the growing life within. As a practice, it promotes mindfulness, reduces stress, and serves as a cherished keepsake to revisit and share with the child in the years to come. Birthing Mama by Corinne Andrews was a wonderful resource for me during pregnancy with journal prompts, exercises, recipes, and explanations of baby development week by week.

Another book idea is a pregnancy cookbook! You want to eat a well rounded whole food diet while pregnant. It can be hard because of food cravings and aversions! You have a lot to think about. Let someone else think (and cook) for you.
