About Stef- The Story Behind Luna Revival

I am a rainbow baby.

From a young age, I’ve always felt that my life has to have meaning. I need to do something impactful, something lasting.

For a long time, I thought that “something” was teaching. I earned my Master’s degree in Education from CU Boulder, worked at a restaurant full-time, trained for and ran my first marathon in my final semester. I feel a lot of pride in that time of my life being so driven, disciplined, and determined to make a difference for myself and community.

What felt like a reward for my hard work and hustle, I got my first teaching job right after graduation, and I threw myself into it. I joined every professional development, coached volleyball, arrived hours early, and said yes to every opportunity to prove my worth. Yet, no matter how hard I worked, it never felt like enough. The stress of lesson planning left lists running through my head non stop and affected my time outside of work. The inequity of pay between my pay as a teacher with a Master’s degree and other industries infuriated me. The sexism I witness and experienced was so frustrating. But I pushed through, I persevered, I showed up, I stood out. And then I was fired.

It was beyond devastating. I had built my identity on being a teacher. On achievement and service. I moved to the heart of the district I worked in. And suddenly, without reason, I was at a abyss.

During this time movement found me—or I found it.

It started with hot yoga sculpt at Corepower. It because my therapy before I started seeing a therapist. Strength training became my rebellion. Every curious, I started learned about burnout, stress, and the nervous system. The benefit of sleep, and sustainable nutrition. I learned about cycle syncing. I focused on understanding my stress, my hormones, and what made me feel aligned physically, ideologically, and emotionally.

I learned a new way of listening to my body. To feel better, to get in sync, to heal from the trauma of being fired, and to get pregnant.

When I became a mother everything I’d learned about strength took on a new meaning. Pregnancy, birth, postpartum- it rocked me. I felt isolated, resourceless, and confused by the lack of knowledge. For the most profound physical and emotional transformation there is, I had so much research to do! This is when I realized how little support there was for people in these seasons of life.

So, I built what I longed for.

Luna Revival is the space where everything I’ve lived and learned comes together— education, rebellion, reflection, and community. It’s where feminism meets physiology. Where strength training meets cycle awareness. Where movement becomes a form of self-respect.

Now I’m honored to be the personal trainer and group fitness instructor for menstruators, pregnant and postpartum people, and those in perimenopause and menopause to build strength, reduce stress, and reconnect with their bodies to reclaim power.

Empowerment comes from knowing yourself deeply. From honoring your body’s phases. From trusting that rest and resistance are both forms of strength.

This is your revival.
And I’m here to guide you through it.

🌙 My Core Values

  • Feminism: I believe strength training and self-advocacy are acts of resistance in a culture that profits from your self-doubt.

  • Empowerment: My programs help you rebuild trust in your body and move with purpose, not punishment.

  • Community: You don’t have to do this alone. Luna Revival was built to be a supportive, inclusive space for all bodies and all seasons.

  • Resiliency: I’ve lived through burnout, motherhood, and reinvention. And I teach from that lived experience — with compassion and evidence-based tools.
